When "Healthy" is a Big, Fat Lie
It pisses me off when people receive misinformation from trusted sources. Unfortunately, when it comes to our food choices there are plenty items being marketed as healthy options that are not particularly good for us. Sigh. The other day I went to the local chain drugstore to pick up some hair products, etc. and while there I see a display of *HEALTHY SNACK CHOICES* that consists of a bunch of “non-fat”, “gluten-free”, “all natural” products like sweet potato chips, cereal

The Antidote to Your Negative Thinking is NOT Positive Thinking
I know I’ve been talking a lot lately about shifting your negative thinking patterns…I just think it’s so important that we become aware of the thoughts that bring us down because we do have the power to change them. Moderation was not in my vocabulary. And I was pretty miserable and mean to myself. I don’t approach food that way any longer...hallelujah! I don’t have good days and bad days or cheat meals. I don’t overeat because I’m sad or because it’s my birthday or because it’s Tuesday. Even though

How to Like What You See in the Mirror
What if I had a magic mirror (that would be awesome, wouldn’t it??) that gave me the ability to show you what your life would look like at age 80 (or 85 or 90) if you continued living as you are now versus if you began to make some small changes toward living a healthier lifestyle? I wonder what differences you would see if you were able to compare those images side by side and see the visible results of your choices. And I wonder how that would affect the choices you are mak
